What we repair on the Acer Chromebook 315 CB315-3H

Battery replacement
A new internal battery is fitted and tested through a full charge and discharge. On a 2020 machine a worn battery is the likely cause of short runtime, and we measure its capacity before recommending anything else.

Data recovery from the Acer Chromebook 315 CB315-3H
Most of what is on a Chromebook lives in the Google account and Google Drive, and comes back when you sign in on another device. Files kept only in the local Downloads folder are encrypted and tied to the account, so recovery from a dead Acer Chromebook 315 CB315-3H is limited. We will tell you honestly what is possible.

Questions
Can the SSD or memory in the Acer Chromebook 315 CB315-3H be upgraded?
The eMMC storage is soldered and cannot be replaced. Memory is soldered and cannot be upgraded.
My Acer Chromebook 315 CB315-3H will not turn on. Is my data lost?
Not necessarily, but the storage is on the main board, so the board has to be repaired far enough to read it. Do not keep trying to power it on, and tell us about any backups you have.
How much does a Acer Chromebook 315 CB315-3H screen replacement cost?
Price confirmed before work starts. The exact figure depends on the part your machine needs, and we confirm it before any work starts.
Is a 2020 Acer Chromebook 315 CB315-3H still worth repairing?
It depends on the fault. A battery, SSD or charging socket is usually worth doing. A major board repair on an older machine may cost more than the machine is worth, and if that is the case we will say so.
