Known issues with the OptiPlex range
- OptiPlex Small Form Factor and Micro models use Dell-specific power supplies and motherboard layouts, so parts are matched to the exact chassis.
- Each generation comes as a Tower, Small Form Factor and Micro; tell us which you have, or read us the Service Tag, and we will match parts to it.
- Dell has reused some model numbers (7010 and 7020 exist as both 2012 to 2014 and 2023 to 2024 machines), so the year matters when ordering parts.
