HP Pavilion All-in-One 24-k Repair
This page sets out the repairs, upgrades and data recovery we carry out on the HP Pavilion All-in-One 24-k, with notes on what tends to go wrong and what can and cannot be upgraded. It is a 23.8-inch all-in-one PC from 2020. Parts are matched to the exact chassis, so the model number matters when we quote.

HP Pavilion All-in-One 24-k repairs and upgrades
Screen replacement
A cracked or dark 23.8-inch display is replaced with a matching panel. Where the picture is there but very dim, we test the backlight and its driver before condemning the panel.

SSD and storage upgrade
The HP Pavilion All-in-One 24-k has an M.2 slot and, on some configurations, a 2.5-inch bay. Machines that shipped with a hard drive are much faster once moved to an SSD.

Memory upgrade
Most configurations of the HP Pavilion All-in-One 24-k have SODIMM memory slots, so memory can be increased. We check what is fitted and the maximum the board supports.
Windows repair and reinstall
The HP Pavilion All-in-One 24-k meets Microsoft's Windows 11 requirements in most configurations. We upgrade from Windows 10, which reached end of support in October 2025, or reinstall Windows 11 cleanly with your files kept.
We also carry out motherboard repair, overheating and fan repair, virus removal on the HP Pavilion All-in-One 24-k, along with stand repair, no-picture and no-boot diagnosis, port repair, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth card replacement and data transfer to a new PC.
Notes from the workshop
- HP all-in-ones use laptop-style components behind the display, which is removed to reach most parts.
- A black screen with the PC still running usually points to the panel or its backlight.
Data recovery from the HP Pavilion All-in-One 24-k
The SSD in the HP Pavilion All-in-One 24-k can be removed and imaged on our own equipment, so files can usually be recovered even when the machine will not start. Recent Windows machines often have device encryption or BitLocker switched on. If so we will need the recovery key, which is normally saved in your Microsoft account.

Questions
Can the SSD or memory in the HP Pavilion All-in-One 24-k be upgraded?
