Repairs we carry out on the Lenovo Yoga S740-14IIL
Touchscreen replacement
Glass, touch layer and display are one bonded 14-inch part. We replace it as a unit and test touch and pen input before it leaves.

Battery replacement
The battery is internal and held by screws. We fit a new one, then calibrate and test it under load. A battery of this age that swells should be replaced before it damages the trackpad or casing.

Charging port and power repair
Depending on the configuration this charges through a round socket, USB-C or both. We test the adapter, the port and the charging circuit to find which has failed.
SSD and storage upgrade
The Lenovo Yoga S740-14IIL takes an M.2 SSD. We clone the existing drive to a larger one so Windows, programs and files carry over unchanged.

Windows repair and reinstall
The Lenovo Yoga S740-14IIL meets Microsoft's Windows 11 requirements in most configurations. We upgrade from Windows 10, which reached end of support in October 2025, or reinstall Windows 11 cleanly with your files kept.
We also carry out keyboard and trackpad repair, motherboard repair, liquid damage repair, overheating and fan repair, hinge and casing repair, virus removal on the Lenovo Yoga S740-14IIL, along with USB, HDMI and audio port repair, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth card replacement, webcam and speaker faults, BIOS password removal with proof of ownership and data transfer to a new machine.
What we see on the bench
- The touchscreen is a bonded assembly and is replaced as one part.
- Yoga 360-degree hinges loosen or seize over time, and a stiff hinge can crack the display glass.
- Memory is soldered on most Yoga and Yoga Slim models.
Data recovery from the Lenovo Yoga S740-14IIL
The SSD in the Lenovo Yoga S740-14IIL can be removed and imaged on our own equipment, so files can usually be recovered even when the machine will not start. Recent Windows machines often have device encryption or BitLocker switched on. If so we will need the recovery key, which is normally saved in your Microsoft account.
