MSI PRO DP21 repairs and upgrades
Power supply repair
A mini PC that shows no signs of life often has a failed external power adapter. We test with a known-good adapter before looking at the board.
SSD and storage upgrade
The MSI PRO DP21 has room for SATA drives and, on most boards, an M.2 SSD. The usual upgrade is an SSD for Windows and programs with the old drive kept for storage.
Price confirmed before work starts
Memory upgrade
The MSI PRO DP21 uses standard desktop memory. We check the board's limits and fit matched modules.
Windows repair and reinstall
The MSI PRO DP21 shipped with Windows 11. We repair start-up faults, reinstall Windows cleanly with your files kept, and remove malware.
We also carry out motherboard repair, overheating and fan repair, virus removal on the MSI PRO DP21, along with no-picture and no-boot diagnosis, port repair, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth card replacement and data transfer to a new PC.
Notes from the workshop
- Overheating is usually dust, a failed fan or a liquid cooler pump at the end of its life.
- A PC that powers on with no picture is more often memory, graphics card or power supply than a dead motherboard.
- Gaming desktops from the big brands mix standard parts with some brand-specific motherboards, cases and power supplies, so upgrades are checked against the chassis first.
Data recovery from the MSI PRO DP21
Desktop drives are removed and imaged on our own equipment. If the MSI PRO DP21 has more than one drive, or a RAID array, bring the whole machine so we can see how it was set up.
Estimate the cost with our data recovery calculator, or read about recovering files after a ransomware attack.
Where the MSI PRO DP21 sits in the range

Drives can be added or replaced. Memory uses standard slots and can be increased.

Usually not. The drive is separate from the fault in most cases, and we can remove it and copy your files even if the machine itself is not worth repairing.
Where do I find the model number on my mini PC?
The model is on a label on the back, side or underside of the machine.
Can the MSI PRO DP21 run Windows 11?
Yes. It shipped with Windows 11.
