Charging port and power repair
Depending on the configuration this charges through a round socket, USB-C or both. We test the adapter, the port and the charging circuit to find which has failed.
SSD and storage upgrade
The Dell Inspiron 17 5775 takes an M.2 SSD. We clone the existing drive to a larger one so Windows, programs and files carry over unchanged.

Memory upgrade
Whether memory can be upgraded on the Dell Inspiron 17 5775 depends on the exact configuration. We check against the serial number before quoting.
Windows repair and reinstall
Windows 11 support depends on the processor: versions with an 8th-generation Intel Core or Ryzen 2000-series chip or newer qualify, and earlier ones do not. We check yours and advise.
Battery replacement
We replace the internal battery and check the charging circuit and adapter at the same time. On a 2017 machine a worn battery is the likely cause of short runtime, and we measure its capacity before recommending anything else.

We also carry out keyboard and trackpad repair, motherboard repair, liquid damage repair, overheating and fan repair, hinge and casing repair, virus removal on the Dell Inspiron 17 5775, along with USB, HDMI and audio port repair, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth card replacement, webcam and speaker faults, BIOS password removal with proof of ownership and data transfer to a new machine.
Known issues with the Inspiron 16 and 17 range
- Hinge mounts in the lid and base are a known weak point on Inspiron laptops. Caught early it is a hinge and bracket repair; left alone it can break the screen bezel and back cover.
- Many configurations shipped with a mechanical hard drive. Moving to an SSD is the most noticeable improvement for the money.
- The charging socket is a separate part on most models and can be replaced without touching the motherboard.
Data recovery from the Dell Inspiron 17 5775
The SSD in the Dell Inspiron 17 5775 can be removed and imaged on our own equipment, so files can usually be recovered even when the machine will not start.
