Dell Inspiron 17 7773 Repair
We repair the Dell Inspiron 17 7773 at our workshop in Bermondsey, from cracked screens and worn batteries to board faults and data recovery. The Dell Inspiron 17 7773 is a 2017 laptop with a 17.3-inch screen. Both the drive and, on most configurations, the memory can be upgraded, which makes it a good candidate for a refresh.

Memory upgrade
Whether memory can be upgraded on the Dell Inspiron 17 7773 depends on the exact configuration. We check against the serial number before quoting.
Windows repair and reinstall
Windows 11 support depends on the processor: versions with an 8th-generation Intel Core or Ryzen 2000-series chip or newer qualify, and earlier ones do not. We check yours and advise.
Battery replacement
A new internal battery is fitted and tested through a full charge and discharge. On a 2017 machine a worn battery is the likely cause of short runtime, and we measure its capacity before recommending anything else.

Charging port and power repair
Depending on the configuration this charges through a round socket, USB-C or both. We test the adapter, the port and the charging circuit to find which has failed.
We also carry out keyboard and trackpad repair, motherboard repair, liquid damage repair, overheating and fan repair, hinge and casing repair, virus removal on the Dell Inspiron 17 7773, along with USB, HDMI and audio port repair, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth card replacement, webcam and speaker faults, BIOS password removal with proof of ownership and data transfer to a new machine.
Notes from the workshop
- Many configurations shipped with a mechanical hard drive. Moving to an SSD is the most noticeable improvement for the money.
- The charging socket is a separate part on most models and can be replaced without touching the motherboard.
- Hinge mounts in the lid and base are a known weak point on Inspiron laptops. Caught early it is a hinge and bracket repair; left alone it can break the screen bezel and back cover.

Questions
Can the SSD or memory in the Dell Inspiron 17 7773 be upgraded?
The SSD can be replaced with a larger M.2 drive. Memory depends on the configuration, which we check from the serial number.
My Dell Inspiron 17 7773 will not turn on. Is my data lost?
Usually not. The drive is separate from the fault in most cases, and we can remove it and copy your files even if the machine itself is not worth repairing.
Where do I find the model number on my laptop?
The model name is on the base label or palm rest. The 7-character Service Tag on the base identifies the exact build. For this model, look for 7773.
Can the Dell Inspiron 17 7773 run Windows 11?
It depends on the processor. Versions with an 8th-generation Intel Core or Ryzen 2000-series chip or newer are supported.
