HP EliteBook 640 G10 Repair
We repair the HP EliteBook 640 G10 at our workshop in Bermondsey, from cracked screens and worn batteries to board faults and data recovery. The HP EliteBook 640 G10 is a 2023 laptop with a 14-inch screen. Both the drive and, on most configurations, the memory can be upgraded, which makes it a good candidate for a refresh.

Screen replacement
Cracked, flickering or lined 14-inch screens are replaced with a matching panel. Where the picture comes and goes as the lid moves, we check the display cable and hinges first.

SSD and storage upgrade
The HP EliteBook 640 G10 takes an M.2 SSD. We clone the existing drive to a larger one so Windows, programs and files carry over unchanged.

Memory upgrade
Most configurations of the HP EliteBook 640 G10 have SODIMM memory slots, so memory can be increased. We check what is fitted and the maximum the board supports.
Windows repair and reinstall
The HP EliteBook 640 G10 shipped with Windows 11. We repair start-up faults, reinstall Windows cleanly with your files kept, and remove malware.
Battery replacement
We replace the internal battery and check the charging circuit and adapter at the same time.

Charging port and power repair
Depending on the configuration this charges through a round socket, USB-C or both. We test the adapter, the port and the charging circuit to find which has failed.
We also carry out keyboard and trackpad repair, motherboard repair, liquid damage repair, overheating and fan repair, hinge and casing repair, virus removal on the HP EliteBook 640 G10, along with USB, HDMI and audio port repair, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth card replacement, webcam and speaker faults, BIOS password removal with proof of ownership and data transfer to a new machine.
Notes from the workshop
- USB-C charging and docking faults are common board repairs on recent generations.
- EliteBooks are designed for servicing, with accessible batteries, SSDs and memory on most 800-series models.
- HP's BIOS protection is strict. A forgotten BIOS administrator password usually needs board-level work, and we ask for proof of ownership.
Data recovery from the HP EliteBook 640 G10
The SSD in the HP EliteBook 640 G10 can be removed and imaged on our own equipment, so files can usually be recovered even when the machine will not start. Recent Windows machines often have device encryption or BitLocker switched on. If so we will need the recovery key, which is normally saved in your Microsoft account.
Estimate the cost with our data recovery calculator, or read about recovering files after a ransomware attack.

The SSD can be replaced with a larger M.2 drive. Memory is in slots on most configurations and can be increased.

Yes. It shipped with Windows 11.
How do I get my HP EliteBook 640 G10 to you?
