What we repair on the HP EliteBook 865 G9
Screen replacement
A broken 16-inch screen is replaced with a panel of the same resolution and finish. We check the display cable while the lid is open.

Windows repair and reinstall
The HP EliteBook 865 G9 shipped with Windows 11. We repair start-up faults, reinstall Windows cleanly with your files kept, and remove malware.
Battery replacement
The battery is internal and held by screws. We fit a new one, then calibrate and test it under load. At this age, short runtime and sudden shutdowns usually point to a worn battery and not a board fault.

Charging port and power repair
We replace worn charging sockets and repair USB-C ports and charging circuits at component level. The adapter is tested first, because it is the cheapest thing to be wrong.
SSD and storage upgrade
The HP EliteBook 865 G9 takes an M.2 SSD. We clone the existing drive to a larger one so Windows, programs and files carry over unchanged.

Memory upgrade
Most configurations of the HP EliteBook 865 G9 have SODIMM memory slots, so memory can be increased. We check what is fitted and the maximum the board supports.
We also carry out keyboard and trackpad repair, motherboard repair, liquid damage repair, overheating and fan repair, hinge and casing repair, virus removal on the HP EliteBook 865 G9, along with USB, HDMI and audio port repair, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth card replacement, webcam and speaker faults, BIOS password removal with proof of ownership and data transfer to a new machine.
What we see on the bench
- HP's BIOS protection is strict. A forgotten BIOS administrator password usually needs board-level work, and we ask for proof of ownership.
- USB-C charging and docking faults are common board repairs on recent generations.
- EliteBooks are designed for servicing, with accessible batteries, SSDs and memory on most 800-series models.
Data recovery from the HP EliteBook 865 G9
The SSD in the HP EliteBook 865 G9 can be removed and imaged on our own equipment, so files can usually be recovered even when the machine will not start. Recent Windows machines often have device encryption or BitLocker switched on. If so we will need the recovery key, which is normally saved in your Microsoft account.

Questions
Can the SSD or memory in the HP EliteBook 865 G9 be upgraded?
The SSD can be replaced with a larger M.2 drive. Memory is in slots on most configurations and can be increased.
My HP EliteBook 865 G9 will not turn on. Is my data lost?
Usually not. The drive is separate from the fault in most cases, and we can remove it and copy your files even if the machine itself is not worth repairing.
How much does a HP EliteBook 865 G9 screen replacement cost?
Price confirmed before work starts. The exact figure depends on the part your machine needs, and we confirm it before any work starts.
Where do I find the model number on my laptop?
The product name and product number are on the base label, or under the battery on older models. On many HP laptops Fn + Esc shows them on screen. For this model, look for 865 G9.
