HP Envy x360 13-ar Repair
We repair the HP Envy x360 13-ar at our workshop in Bermondsey, from cracked screens and worn batteries to board faults and data recovery. Touchscreen replacement
The 13.3-inch touchscreen is bonded to its glass, so cracked glass, dead touch and display faults are all fixed by replacing the bonded panel.

Charging port and power repair
We replace worn charging sockets and repair USB-C ports and charging circuits at component level. The adapter is tested first, because it is the cheapest thing to be wrong.
SSD and storage upgrade
The HP Envy x360 13-ar takes an M.2 SSD. We clone the existing drive to a larger one so Windows, programs and files carry over unchanged.

Memory upgrade
Whether memory can be upgraded on the HP Envy x360 13-ar depends on the exact configuration. We check against the serial number before quoting.
Windows repair and reinstall
The HP Envy x360 13-ar meets Microsoft's Windows 11 requirements in most configurations. We upgrade from Windows 10, which reached end of support in October 2025, or reinstall Windows 11 cleanly with your files kept.
Battery replacement
We replace the internal battery and check the charging circuit and adapter at the same time. On a 2019 machine a worn battery is the likely cause of short runtime, and we measure its capacity before recommending anything else.

We also carry out keyboard and trackpad repair, motherboard repair, liquid damage repair, overheating and fan repair, hinge and casing repair, virus removal on the HP Envy x360 13-ar, along with USB, HDMI and audio port repair, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth card replacement, webcam and speaker faults, BIOS password removal with proof of ownership and data transfer to a new machine.
Known issues with the Envy x360 range
- The touchscreen and glass are a bonded unit and are replaced together.
- The 360-degree hinges on the Envy x360 are a recurring failure point; a stiff hinge can crack the glass.
Data recovery from the HP Envy x360 13-ar
The SSD in the HP Envy x360 13-ar can be removed and imaged on our own equipment, so files can usually be recovered even when the machine will not start. Recent Windows machines often have device encryption or BitLocker switched on. If so we will need the recovery key, which is normally saved in your Microsoft account.

Questions
Can the SSD or memory in the HP Envy x360 13-ar be upgraded?
The SSD can be replaced with a larger M.2 drive. Memory depends on the configuration, which we check from the serial number.
My HP Envy x360 13-ar will not turn on. Is my data lost?
Usually not. The drive is separate from the fault in most cases, and we can remove it and copy your files even if the machine itself is not worth repairing.
Is a 2019 HP Envy x360 13-ar still worth repairing?
It depends on the fault. A battery, SSD or charging socket is usually worth doing. A major board repair on an older machine may cost more than the machine is worth, and if that is the case we will say so.
Where do I find the model number on my 2-in-1 laptop?
The product name and product number are on the base label, or under the battery on older models. On many HP laptops Fn + Esc shows them on screen. For this model, look for 13-ar.
