HP Envy x360 14-fa Repair
If your HP Envy x360 14-fa has a broken screen, will not charge, runs hot or will not start, we can diagnose and repair it at our Bermondsey workshop. It is a 14-inch 2-in-1 laptop from 2023. Both the drive and, on most configurations, the memory can be upgraded, which makes it a good candidate for a refresh.

Depending on the configuration this charges through a round socket, USB-C or both. We test the adapter, the port and the charging circuit to find which has failed.

The HP Envy x360 14-fa takes an M.2 SSD. We clone the existing drive to a larger one so Windows, programs and files carry over unchanged.

Notes from the workshop
- The 360-degree hinges on the Envy x360 are a recurring failure point; a stiff hinge can crack the glass.
- The touchscreen and glass are a bonded unit and are replaced together.
Data recovery from the HP Envy x360 14-fa
The SSD in the HP Envy x360 14-fa can be removed and imaged on our own equipment, so files can usually be recovered even when the machine will not start. Recent Windows machines often have device encryption or BitLocker switched on. If so we will need the recovery key, which is normally saved in your Microsoft account.
Estimate the cost with our data recovery calculator, or read about recovering files after a ransomware attack.
